A working gallery in the heart of Haddington and a space you can make your own.

Rooart is a working gallery that hosts rotating exhibitions of work by local artists, with original pieces available to buy. But the space does more than hang art. Right in the centre of Haddington, it's a characterful, light-filled room available to hire for all kinds of events.

What's on the walls?

Exhibitions change throughout the year, so there's always something new to see, and every piece is available to purchase.

❋ Pop-up exhibitions

Show a body of work in a proper gallery setting rather than a borrowed corner somewhere. White walls, good light and a room that's been hanging art for years — the kind of backdrop that lets the work speak for itself and gives visitors a reason to take it seriously.

❋ Corporate meetings & away days

A creative space that beats the usual meeting room hands down. Getting the team out of the office and into a gallery changes the tone of a day — better for workshops, planning sessions and away days where you actually want people thinking differently.

❋ Book launches & readings

An intimate, characterful venue for an evening with an audience. Central enough that people can find it easily, and small enough that a launch feels like an event rather than a half-empty hall — ideal for a local author, a small press, or a reading group with something to celebrate.

Daily delegate rate

We take care of everything you need for a day of meetings or an away day.

£35 per delegate, including:

  • Teas and coffees on arrival

  • A sandwich lunch

  • Tea, coffee and a light snack in the afternoon

  • Water throughout the day

  • Wi-Fi and electricity

  • Full use of the space for the day

Room to teach, demonstrate or run a hands-on session, whether that's a one-off masterclass or a regular fixture. A natural fit for anything creative, with the gallery setting adding a bit of occasion to the day.

A distinctive setting in the centre of town for something a little out of the ordinary — a private view, a small celebration, a gathering that deserves more character than a function room. Tell us what you've got in mind and we'll help shape it.

Pop-up artist package

Your own exhibition, in a proper gallery. For the length of your booking, the space is yours exclusively. The gallery is given over to your work alone, hung as your show, with Rooart's footfall, reputation and a hand getting it up on the walls.

  • Full week £250.00

Includes exclusive use of the gallery for your exhibition, help getting the work hung, and a feature across the Rooart website and social channels in the run-up. You keep 100% of what you sell.
